InfoSentry Services Receives Contract for Oregon Voter Registration Study
InfoSentry Services, Inc. of Raleigh, NC has been awarded a contract by the Oregon Secretary of State’s Office to conduct a systems needs assessment in Phase I of the Oregon Centralized Voter Registration System Project.
Glenn Newkirk, InfoSentry Services’ President, said, "We are delighted to be working on a study of this importance in Oregon, which has such a strong tradition of citizen involvement and innovation in election administration."
InfoSentry Services will conduct a comprehensive study of Oregon’s current registration systems to assess business requirements, technical feasibility, and risk levels of developing a statewide centralized voter registry. InfoSentry’s study will incorporate survey results from Oregon’s thirty-six counties and other stakeholders in political parties, the media, and State agencies. In addition to standard surveys, InfoSentry will conduct focus groups, documentation reviews, process walkthroughs, and site visits in over half the counties.
The study’s final report will be issued to the Oregon Secretary of State’s Office as a prelude to seeking approval from the Oregon General Assembly for the project’s final phases. InfoSentry Services’ study will conclude in January 1999.
