InfoSENTRY’s Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of a System Test

InfoSENTRY Services conducted an independent verification and validation (IV&V) of the processes and documentation of a major research and testing organization. InfoSENTRY’s client required an independent, third-party authentication that the testing organization had completed a thorough, industry-compliant testing process for the certification of three versions of a vendor’s system. InfoSENTRY’s IV&V examined the organization’s processes, tests, and accompanying documentation to assure those tests and processes were adequate to certify a vendor’s system according to our client’s standards.

InfoSENTRY’s IV&V found that the organization had used industry-compliant processes and had completed adequate testing for approval of the vendor’s system. Our client subsequently released the system into production status. InfoSENTRY’s IV&V found that the testing organization’s non-uniform documentation naming conventions may have contributed to initial uncertainty that the organization had completed a thorough certification process of the vendor’s system.
